I do not have much expirience with cdi's but installed one on Daves sebring today. I drove around the block and it was great, turned it off to get the gps and then it would not start and no spark. Do CDI's crap out like this often? Do you need a special coil for the cdi?

What CDI?
Need more info.
Normally, they just don't crap out. Unless there's is a faulty ground or something and you over rev yr coil...

The CDI is from Ed, no name on it.
It was mostly guess work installing it but it ran great and now nothing.

dohhh, bad ground. Nut/bolt holding the ground wire was loose. It runs great now. I suppose I should look at the bike before I post.
