10 specific entry points onto the fairgrounds; visual screening of all persons passing through entry points; inspections of all carried items; collaboration among the National Park Service, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and other federal and state agencies. In addition, hand-held detectors may also be used for screening people wearing "bulky" clothing.

I'm not submitting to federal asshole cop security checkpoints so that I can celebrate my freedom.  It goes against some really basic core beliefs I hold near and dear.

I'll do what REAL Americans do.  Get wasted and shoot guns in the air.

Have you ever actually been to the Fair? They only started the "federal asshole cop security checkpoints" after 9/11/01. They move really fast, the checkers aren't assholes, and it's really no big deal. Kinda like getting through the airport, except way less worse. The Arch grounds are federal land, it's a huge event with tens of thousands of people, of course they're gonna set up some security.

okay, maybe in my excitement about the new roof I spoke too soon.  We're not going to be in any shape to host a party at our house this weekend...we're working on it Saturday, and it's going to be chaotic in there.  I promise we're going to throw a housewarming party eventually!
