Maddmatt is in bad shape after getting hit on his way to work yesterday morning. Severely broken leg, arm, jaw and a bleeding liver. We are al super bummed to hear this. At first it was reported he just broke his leg. This new news shows how severe his injuries are. He is at Barnes on Kingshighway, but cant see visitors yet, he is in ICU.

Maddmatt is the guy who makes the calanders, stickers and banners for our rallys. He's a vital part of IRE and needs our most positive thoughts right now.

Yeah, a little update on Matt. He has a broken arm, femur, pelvis, 2 broken legs, jaw, ribs, and prolly more, I just can't remember. The biggest concern is the bone above his knee, it's pretty messed up. It looks like the accident happened when someone ran a red light. Matt doesn't remember what happened, which is probably a good thing. Anyway he is gonna be laid up for a while. I was wondering if you guys wanna start a little account to kinda help him out financially. I know I have some co-workers that would contribute.

Be safe out there and pray for Matt.

This is some bad shit...I am shaking from hearing this news.

Right now Matt is in process for multiple surgeries. He is not out of the weeds yet, he has bone fragments they are trying to get out, they cannot gurantee his bone fragments are all out, if not they can travel to his heart and that is not good. He spoke with Hugh today and Hugh is updating me.

Her mom has her, and yeah really cash is the most needed thing for Matt. As a survivor of vicious wreck myself, I know hoe financially devistating a wreck can be. So yeah gather as much cash from peeps and send it Matts way, he is in for a long rough ride and any little bit will help!

I posted that link in an email to some co-workers so hopefully we'll get some money for him. My boss seems to think he is gonna be out for about 6 months, but I am sure it's too early to tell. Every penny counts and Matt needs it more than anyone.

I talked to someone in the volunteer/do good deeds committee here at work to see if they could get something set up.

Maybe we could talk to Lemmon's and see if we could do a fundraiser there too. Matt used to be in the Round Ups maybe they would play. I'm sure we could get some other band's to play too.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Matt asked us to send this message. He has two broken legs and a broken Right arm, 3 broken ribs, a brused lung, a broken jaw and several missing teeth. His R pelvis is also broken. They set & pinned his left leg and it is casted but everything else is pending. He is stable but is still in ICU. He is grateful for the emails & actually let out a few chuckles when they were read to him & is appreciative of this message thread. Thanks for all the prayers...and he is also thankful for your fundraising efforts!!!

We will keep you posted.

A little update.
Matt is going to have more surgery performed today. From what I understand they are gonna try and knock it all out today as long as Matt remains stable. They think if all goes well Matt could be out of the hospital within a week or two. So think of Matt today, send him some positive healing energy!

I didn't hear anything about the transfusions of anything like that. I am thinking that he must be doing better otherwise they wouldn't perform surgery, but I am no Doctor so who knows. The little info I got was from my boss who talked to Matt's dad. I'll keep you all posted if I hear more.
