finally got my parts ordered! and spring break is next week haha.

ordered the dmp teflon stuffed roller crank and the cdi unit from 1977mopeds

new shocks, gaskets, bearings, and some carb parts from treats.

so with the time ive got, and if i can get the bar mounted. i can get my bike painted, cured, shined and built in the next couple of weeks.

Eww, teflon stuffed? I hope you ordered some different shims too. Both of the ones I've installed plus most of the other people who I have heard talk about them have needed to re-shim.

i can get shims, no issue there. of the ones in stock, it was that, or the DMP unstuffed with no oiler hole. or the metrakit crank that takes the funky bearing no one can find.

got my cdi and crank from 77 mopeds, found a puch gasket set inside with it all. freebies are nice.

next coming is my treats order, gotta order some engine studs.. >.<

unless anyone has any?

Word of warning, if you get studs from treats, do NOT get the regular ones. They strip like crazy. I've stripped 7 of the 8 treats studs I've bought, and yes, I do use a torque wrench. I just bought some of the heat treated ones, and I'm hoping they work better, but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet.

i know! last time i ordered anything from 77mopeds, it took forever and was the wrong part. and then took forever to get it fixed. this time it went easy-peasy and i got extra goodies that i actually needed haha

cleaned the case, and worked on the wheels and frame some more. wheels get painted tomorrow. may just leave the frame as is and just do low style racer maxi. debating. waiting on the rest of the engine parts from treats and then i can build it.
