Powdercoat order
« on: February 26, 2010, 01:12:35 PM »

Does anyone want to piggy back on my order?  I was going to order some shit this weekend from http://www.powderbuythepound.com/catalog/index.php so if anyone wants something throw some dough at Sunday fixit to save on shipping.

Yeah, chrome is in my basket :)  Along with a few others.  I'll be placing an order Sunday Night/Monday Morning.

I would do a bit of everything...but they have a hell of a lot.  That would be like a few hundred pounds...UPS would hate me.

nahhh, ups would love you.  I had a few hundred pounds of boxes come in a two day period, about 12 boxes overall but one was 55lb worth of steel :D  they have dollies and strong backs!

The last time UPS delivered something really big/heavy it was my new TV.  The big strong guy sat in the truck while this little old lady was tipping it end over end up my sidewalk...

I had my TV delivered to my work.  I signed for it while a coworker said something about my TV being delivered.  The delivery guy made a sort of grimace and asked "Is that yours?"  Coworker laughed harder.  I asked "What?"  UPS delivery guy said "You had it delivered UPS" with a sort of smirk as I noticed the box being pretty beat.  Coworker laughed harder.

Luckily the TV works fine.

Yeah, it was double boxed (teeheehee) and everything was fine.  I definitely made them wait while I checked it out...and UPS is mean to the packages.  A couple buddies of mine work there and admit to stomping/throwing/otherwise destroying packages that piss them off.

No trust at all...only money back.

shit, i used to work for a video/film transfer company (homemoviedepot.com) doing film repair and stuff, we would get shit from ups that was destroyed. i mean, the box would be ruined, film wrecked, and tapes broken. i spent 3 days fixing a 2000 foot reel that had been cut from something crushing it. they paid extra for me to fix it because i had done a good job in the past, but damn. i was the fastest/lowest mistake (last record was about 5 in about a million or so splices) repair guy they had.

but man, i hated getting the UPS stuff.. also, "fragile" to them means "dont ring the doorbell, just throw it at the door from 20 feet away" the box had my gecko in it under cold temp hibernation. though butters is all good and dandy today.

I think we mostly need base coats and top coats.

Other than that I'm fairly happy with the harbor freight huge selection of FOUR colors.  Yeah.

Someone had said that ya'll got them from Harbor Freight, so I was like "okay, let me check that out"...they didnt even have blue as a color, lame.  But, now I can get a chrome base and candy blue top! This ped wont need silly things like "lights" or "reflectors"...

Just received 7 pounds of powder...I wonder if I rub it on my teeth and put my head in the oven for 10 min at 400 will it qualify as a grill?

Yeah, I spaced yesterday and left all the shit at home.  If I have time I'll bring it by this week.
