uh, I did that, and there was nothing more ridiculous to me than finding the weight of the earth because I didn't care how much the earth weighed.  I care how much this clutch shoe weighs.

Moped parts in St. Louis
« on: June 12, 2008, 09:26:45 AM »

Hey everyone.  I'm new to the forum and also new to the moped scene.  I recently bought a broken Tomos and I'm looking for a place in town to buy parts. (a new CDI)  Anyone know of anything local or should I order online?
Thanks.

I know the Extreme Toy Store on Manchester Rd. sells Tomos, and could probably order parts for you, but I doubt they have them in stock.  Plus, they're jerks.  I would look online and see what you can find.  It'll probably take just as long as ordering from Extreme Toy Store, but be cheaper, and you won't have to deal with some saleman with an attitude.

Try:

http://www.themopedjunkyard.com
http://www.mopedshop.com/

I'm sure there are more sites that I can't think of...but start there and see what you find.

I give the local guys a call first.  Judging from their cheesy name, I've got a bad feeling about it.  I'm betting I'll have to order online.
Thanks.

No luck at The Extreme Toy Store. Every time I read that name my inner voice SCREAMS it.

They are so EXTREME!

You could also ask on Moped Army's buy/sell forum.  Someone might have a junker Tomos they're parting out.  What year is yours?

I think Donelson Cycles is where Mark found a replacement air/fuel mixture screw for Annie's Honda Express carb.  So they definitely have some stuff.  I never thought I'd find just that screw for sale.

www.stevesmoped.com is a good online store -
I got a bunch of parts from them, including
a Bi-Turbo exhaust for my Tomos Targa.
