Seems like people are thinking of two different things here.

A - Teams

or

B - Individuals.

I've been thinking it was gonna be individuals from the start. Ride what you bring, if you show up, kind of deal. Obviously take registrants before, especially since it's gonna cost some cash. But like Malaguti and I were talking, I don't want to be part of a team. If I want to race and can go (time off, cash, etc) I'll do it, but I don't want to be letting people down and shit if I can't make it happen. Plus I've just always hated team everything...so... Yeah.

What is this gonna be?

We should put off the team/rules/crap discussion and try to organize a race, like soon. Exhibition style Open class and maybe a 50cc modified class. No points, just bragging rights.
Also, this shouldn't be so super secret secret, I bet people out there know tracks or people that know tracks that can't look in on this discussion.

what about races set up around town. i mean, when you watch racing everyone is in competion mode,one person trying to outdrive and overpower the next. traffic happens. like in that moped race last week, when they got caught up in traffic,things changed.that dude in second finally outdrove and overpowered to take the lead then, fuck. that's how it is on the streets anyway. everybody has to watch what they are doing anyway when they're not racing. so, why don't we set up an exhibition on the streets,for shits and grins in the mean time. that shit is free. have you ever been following somebody on your ped and thought your bike needs more shit? that's what we already do, but it's not like were going a hundred. we need to get at least 1 map planned out to get this thing going. even though we have all rode together and it might seem the same as.

I vote we build a team bike, then make the smallest person ride it.

Individual stuff would be fun too, but we would all need to step up our game... shit would need to be less "breakable" than most of the current peds. I felt bad in LA passing the fast kids on the slowest ped b/c they broke their shit. It doesnt count if you dont even finish the race, ya know. However Im not big into racing on a track, I'll probably end up falling b/c of sand or something else lame.. I'm not into falling and I dont have very good balance maybe 1/4 mile drags... or fast n the furious style NOS and a turbo style (sorry most of that was a total tangent)

Kevin, you're more likely to fall because of "sand" on the street than you are on the track. Also, you have to stop looking at all the fast bikes breaking down as fragile or "breakable". It's an on going process of weeding out the weakest components. Racing is the fastest way of doing that. Looks at the race bikes that the italians and french built, they sure as shit didn't do that while going to rallies in southern france, drinking wine, and sleeping with hairy women, THEY DID IT TO RACE!

I'll race, but I'll only do it so I can have sex with the Hairy women. I think I'd prefer to race in the 50cc class. For some reason stock cylinders make me wet in the panties. Plus I know I will do pretty decent with the Si. I guess I'll build the Ciao up for the modified class. I also want to see if I cant get sponsored by the Wu-tang clan...and get my self a jacket that says "mopeds aint nothin ta fuck with"
